\u201cFear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.\u201d (Luke 2:10,11)<\/em><\/p>\n

And we wait for the carols… and the star, a symbol reminding us of the Magi who travelled with gifts to the place where child Jesus and His Mother were, and also of the star present in the Icon of Our Lord\u2019s Birth.<\/p>\n

When the Magi saw the star,<\/p>\n

All three started walking towards it.<\/p>\n

As the star taught them<\/p>\n

As every year, around the Christmas date, Romfilatelia<\/strong> introduces into circulation a postage stamps issue dedicated to this Celebration of Our Lord\u2019s Birth.<\/p>\n

The postage stamp of Christmas 2011<\/em><\/strong> issue illustrates the image of the icon of \u201cNa\u015fterea Domnului Iisus Hristos\u201c (\u201cOur Lord\u2019s Jesus Christ\u2019s Birth\u201d)<\/em> from the patrimony of the Archdiocese of Tomis (\u201c\u00cen\u0103l\u0163area Domnului\u201d \/ \u201cOur Lord\u2019s<\/p>\n

Ascension\u201d) wooden church from Satu Nou, Oltina -ConstantaCounty), an icon painted in tempera and gold leaf dating back to late 19th century.<\/p>\n

The wooden church from Satu Nou was built in 1863 and since 2004 it has been introduced on the list of historical monuments inRomaniafor its historical and architectural value.<\/p>\n
